The Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care course, in addition to being a prerequisite to the Rescue Diver course, teaches you skills of particular use in the dry world as well. During this course, you will learn how to maintain a patient’s lifeline with basic life support, as well as provide first aid treatment to non-life-threatening injuries. The Emergency Oxygen Provider specialty is a perfect complement to the Rescue Diver course. As oxygen treatment is part of standard first aid for serious diving injuries, it is essential to receive extensive training in its use. In many jurisdictions, this certification or it’s equivalent is required by law in order to provide oxygen treatment to an injured diver.
Prerequisite: Emergency First Response (EFR) or CPR & First Aid Training within 24 months.
